How to remove your account and your data
You can delete your DevScout account and its associated data at any time, directly from the app (mobile or web). There is no need to open a support ticket.
How to delete your account
- Open the DevScout app (or go to devscout.app in your browser) and sign in normally.
- Tap your profile and go to "Settings".
- Scroll down to the "Danger zone" section.
- Tap "Delete account" and confirm the action.
What gets deleted
- Name, email, and other profile data
- Application history and search preferences
- Social login link (Google/Apple), if used
What may be temporarily retained
For legal and tax obligations, payment records and transaction history may be kept for an additional period after account deletion, as required by applicable law.
- Payment history and invoices (tax obligation)
- Security/anti-fraud records, when applicable
